Girton College

The Governing Body of Girton College has elected the Rt Hon the Baroness Hale of Richmond, DBE, to the office of Visitor.

COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN ENGLISH

Girton College wishes to appoint a College Lecturer and Official Fellow in English from 1 October 2004 for an initial term of one year, with the possibility of renewal for a further year.

The Lecturer will be required to teach in small group supervisions and seminars for 12 hours a week during academic terms, and to take full part in the administrative aspects of College teaching in English. Applications are invited from those with teaching and research interests in the period 1830 to the present day.

The stipend, which is pensionable under the USS, is on a College Lecturer scale starting at approximately £18,893 rising to £30,640 a year. Initial placement on the scale will be determined by seniority and experience.
