Social and Political Sciences Tripos, Part II, 1998: Notice
The Faculty Board of Social and Political Sciences give notice that, with effect from the examination to be held in 1998, the form of the examination for Papers 6, 21, and 24 for Part II of the Social and Political Sciences Tripos will be changed as follows:
PART II
Paper 6. Western European politics
Candidates will be required to answer three questions, and to demonstrate, over the paper as a whole, a detailed knowledge of at least two of the following political systems: France, Germany, the European Union.
Paper 21. Women in society
The paper will be divided into two sections. Section A will contain questions on the general background to the subject. Section B will contain questions on specialized topics.
Candidates will be required to answer three questions. In the examination to be held in 1998, candidates will have a free choice of questions; in the examination to be held in 1999, they will be required to answer at least one question from each section.
Paper 24. The politics of North America since 1900
All candidates will be required to answer three questions. Candidates who offered Paper 24 in the Preliminary Examination will have a free choice of questions. Other candidates will be required to answer at least one question on the USA and one question on Canada.
